Christmas 2008

My parents and sister arrived on the Tuesday before Christmas. We went to the 3:00pm Christmas Eve service at our church. It's nice that they have early services because Sarah and Joshua are in bed by 7:00pm. We wanted to go to Henning's Market to eat at their buffet, but when we arrived they were closing. So we headed over to a nearby pizza place.
After we got home we took some family pictures.
After that Aunt Karen and Uncle Steven gave Sarah and Joshua their gifts. They had a bunch of goodies in their box. Here's Joshua playing with his new John Deere tractors.
Sarah and Joshua were in bed and asleep by 7:00pm. We put in a movie and relaxed.
Christmas Morning: Sarah received a microphone like she wanted , Tinkertoys and the Cookies game. Joshua received a weed trimmer, digger and a firehouse for his Thomas track. They opened one gift after another. Joshua was very fast, went from one to another.
Prior to Christmas Day Sarah and I made a gingerbread house. We are not very good at these. The icing was very drippy and not thick enough this year, I should have added something to thicken it. But the house stuck together and we Sarah had fun decorating it.
